Key dates: IOTA24

IOTA24 will take place over a three-month season: August to October 2024 with exhibitions & events spread across the period.

The Indian Ocean Craft Triennial in 2024 will take place again in Western Australia. The season runs from 1 August to 31 October with exhibitions and events happening throughout that time.

The international exhibition at the heart of IOTA24 will open with our Major Exhibition Partners on the dates listed below and a concentration of activity will occur during the first week of September when the international conference Futuring Craft 24: The Value of Craft will take place at Curtin University’s School of Design & the Built Environment. The conference will extend the IOTA24 theme Codes in Parallel, which contemplates languages inherent in contemporary crafts.

The full program will be launched in late May (date TBC) 2024 including the announcement of the lead artists in the 2024 international exhibition and the 50 or more festival exhibitions and activities taking place at regional and metro galleries and art spaces in Western Australia. Conference ticketing will also commence from early June.
