Description

Exploring the fibres of flora, fauna, and human systems, Tributaries includes objects formed by corrosion casting, a process by which resin is injected into animal organs and other biological systems to form moulds of internal spaces.

In dialogue with photographic images and poetry they document the thrum of life and death, connecting root, river, skeleton, and vein. Both a memento mori and a reminder of the constantly changing states of all organic matter – a testament to the interconnection of human, animal and environment.

Tributaries is also showing at WA Museum Of The Great Southern, 5 July – 28 August.
