In addition to the international exhibition we present a festival program of exhibitions and events by craft artists, galleries, art spaces and craft groups in support of the IOTA24 theme. August – October 2024, Western Australia.
Philip Noakes IPG is a highly acclaimed artist and craftsman, renowned for his exceptional work as a contemporary jeweller, goldsmith and silversmith. Linton & Kay Galleries are honoured to host his latest exhibition at their new gallery space in Cottesloe.
Demonstrating a long history of mastered skills in jewellery making Noakes forms exquisite large objects and vessels from flat sheets of silver and other precious metals for this exhibition. He shapes classic forms, imbuing them with an energy that often makes them appear weightless. He then adds unique textures to the surfaces through techniques such as engraving, hammering, flame treating and oxidising.
Philip Noakes artworks have been extensively displayed and collected both nationally and internationally.
