A Pathfinders of WA exhibition
Description
Textile-art works inspired by colonisation moments, personal memories, and present-day objects in Fremantle.
Settler arrivals by ship are represented, as is infrastructure – built early on, then by transported convicts, and post the convict era. Features of the Inner Harbour engineered by Irishman CY O’Connor, as well as later developments and industries (e.g. fishing, ship building) are depicted. The produce market has not been forgotten!
