Description

A showcase of new works by 16 professional and emerging artists responding to the IOTA24 theme of ‘Codes in Parallel’ through their chosen craft.

‘Objects often contain hidden depths, encoded in the depicted motifs and symbols, through techniques and materials, or found in their ritual or spiritual uses.’ IOTA24

The Codes of Peel public program includes three artist talks on consecutive weekends, a series of practical community drawing evenings ‘Form and Function’ and ‘Form and Face’, linked to the Mandurah Arts Festival and a professional development workshop. It will also include two breathing and yoga workshops settled amongst the artworks as part of Mental Health Week.

An IOTA24 exhibitions trail map for the Peel Region will link the Alcoa Mandurah Gallery, Rockingham Gallery, the Pinjarra Church, Lost Eden and CASM for the visiting community to discover and enjoy.
