Description
On display in Fremantle’s historic Shipwreck Gallery will be functional textiles including blankets, rugs, towels and wearables, woven art- pieces and treasured pieces from Albany Weavers’ nearly 50-year history.
A display of traditional and 3-D printed weaving tools, and samples and weaving notes illustrate the process of designing and planning a weave.
Visitors can watch various types of weaving demonstrated on a loom in the gallery and try it themselves on a specially set-up loom. A selection of works will be for sale.
