The international exhibition at the heart of IOTA highlights the work of more than 30 craft artists and groups from six Indian Ocean countries - India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, South Africa, and includes First Nations Australians and Australians of diverse heritages.
The IOTA24 international is designed and presented in collaboration with the curators and teams of our exhibition partners. Although hosted at several galleries in group and solo installations, with varied opening and closing dates, it is one exhibition held together by the IOTA curators’ artistic direction focusing on ‘Codes in Parallel’ as the 2024 theme.
Festival Events
A further 40+ galleries and art spaces participate in IOTA, presenting exhibitions and activities as part of the IOTA satellite festival across the state of Western Australia, and a small yet growing number of international galleries.
