Biography
Gunjan Jain is a Delhi based textile artist/designer. She established social design studio Vriksh Designs in 2008 located in Odisha state in eastern India. Since that time she has worked in collaboration with ethnic weaving communities helping to revive and strengthen traditional techniques and designs with a specific focus on ikat using indigenous tussar silks. A core focus of her work is consideration to the socio-economic and political challenges encountered by the communities.
