Biography
Cecilia Heffer combines her teaching with research and practice. In 2022, she completed a PhD from RMIT exploring contemporary lace as an ephemeral (p)lacemaker. Cecilia is an Australia Arts Council recipient and exhibits regularly. Commissions include designing the lace curtains for the State Rooms of Government House NSW and an installation for the Museum of Democracy Canberra. Acquisitions include the Powerhouse Museum Sydney, the National Gallery of Victoria, Art Bank, Museum Centrale Textiles, Lódz Poland, Tamworth and Wangaratta Regional Galleries.
