Judith Yinyika Chambers & Nancy Nyanyana Jackson

Judith Yinyika Chambers is a Ngaanyatjarra woman who was born in the bush at a place called Mitika near Jameson Community in the 1950’s. Judith’s mother was well-known Tjanpi artist and painter Carol Maatja Golding. Judith now lives in the remote community of Warakurna, Western Australia.

Nancy Nyanyana Jackson is an artist belonging to the Ngaanyatjarra language and cultural group. Nyanyana was born in the bush near the Western Australian and Northern Territory borders. Once Warakurna was established in the 1970s, she moved there with her family, where she resides today. Nyanyana is a highly skilled bush woman, Senior Law Woman, business woman and well-respected artist.
